Andrew Leonard has over 20 years of investment experience in leveraged finance. Prior to co-founding LC2, Andrew was a founding Principal and Managing Director of an SBIC mezzanine fund sponsored by a lower middle market, private equity firm. Prior to this, he led the underwriting and portfolio management group of Churchill Capital. He began his career as an intelligence officer in the US Navy, serving with distinction in Somalia, Iraq and Bosnia. He transitioned into finance with U.S. Bank, underwriting and managing senior loans to private equity-backed companies in the middle market.
Andrew holds a BS from the University of Wisconsin-Madison and an MBA from The Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania. He has served on the boards of numerous middle market companies and is active in his community, including coaching multiple youth sports teams.
